Red eye

In the enchanting realm of rat genetics, the term “Red Eyes,” also affectionately known as “Pink Eyes,” is synonymous with striking, obvious red or pink-colored eyes, most commonly associated with the alluring albino rats. These captivating Red Eyes possess the remarkable ability to dilute the color of rats across various varieties. In our breeding endeavors, we’ve been pleasantly surprised by the emergence of these Red Eye wonders, predominantly thanks to the dynamic marten gene, which has a knack for appearing in all lines and colors we work with. It’s a testament to the intriguing twists and turns that genetics can take. Additionally, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing Red Eyes in Siamese Harleys and nakeds, adding an extra layer of fascination to these already unique varieties. These enchanting Red Eye traits also make appearances in our fawn, champagne, and mink rats, showcasing the genetic diversity that continues to make the world of rat breeding an endlessly captivating journey.
